it's beginning to look like ....

A very cold winter's day!   This past week has brought three heavy dumps of snow and now we're headed to colder temperatures.   It looks beautiful.   The last storm that hit overnight Sunday left some unique sights.  I don't recall having seen the overhead traffic lights covered in snow, mind you only the ones facing east from where the storm must have come.   Trees look like they have been brushed in white sparkle.  And there seems to be no end in sight to the cold weather.  So it's nice to be indoors, enjoy the simple pleasures....warm coffee, comfort food, Christmas music and good company.

It's been a long year.  Things are moving forward in a good way.  There are still wistful moments, even some sad ones but there are so many more reasons to smile and just be happy.

Stay warm, share a smile.................

It's good to count your blessings. Hope you get some nice warm weather soon. We have snow here too.
Season's Greetings.

Brrrrr...hope Sully has some boots to wear out! :) We got a Jack Russell puppy this year, and his energy accents my lack thereof.

Stay warm and have a Merry Christmas!

You paint a very pretty winter scene without a single photo. Even though the snow really messes up traffic when we're all trying to do a few more last minute things, it's so pretty to gaze on it from indoors with that hot drink and twinkly lights. We had our big snow on Sunday night, and although it was quite mild at first, now all piles of snow are locked in tight with a drop in temperature. Even the dog is having trouble stepping out into the backyard through the uneven, sharp surface. Enjoy your days and remember the reason for the season ;)
